Public sector
A website for a public kindergarten in Warsaw's Wilanów district, built from scratch together with an editing panel. Parents get news, documents and information about groups in one place, and the kindergarten maintains the content on its own, without a developer.
Challenge
- Parents hunted for dates, meetings and documents in several places at once, because the site led to none of them in any order.
- The kindergarten had no way to post an announcement itself, and every change required contacting someone outside.
- A public institution is responsible for the accessibility of its website and must publish an accessibility statement.
Solution
- A site organised around a parent's questions: news, groups, specialists, documents, admissions, contact.
- A panel at /admin with a text editor that works like an office one, and separate views for posts, documents, files, groups and the site's fixed texts.
- Three permission levels, a forced password change on first sign-in and a change log showing who edited what.
- An accessibility bar at the top of every page: high contrast, three text sizes, a link to the statement and to a Polish Sign Language interpreter.
What we delivered
- News, announcements and organisational information for parents
- Editing panel: posts, documents, files, groups, fixed page texts
- Accounts with three permission levels and a change log
- High contrast, three text sizes, accessibility statement
- Responsive on phones and tablets
Business impact
An announcement reaches the site the same day, posted by someone from the kindergarten, and parents find announcements and documents in one place. The accessibility statement is published and linked from every page.
